I know that this has been asked before but I'm having a Rock Band party soon (on RB3) and I'm just wondering what the best way is to create a song list for everyone to browse rather than having to scroll through the in-game library each time to see what songs are available.
Ideally a list of all the songs available to me printed out on a laminated sheet would be ideal, but if there is some kind of app that can do the same thing that would be fine as well. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, it's going to be my first RB party. RBDB doesn't use a full account system (email + password). Yet (I'm working on it!). Just click on the 'User Code' button in the top right and generate a new code. The code is randomly generated 6 characters that should store in a cookie when you go back to the site, but put it in your password manager or write it down for safe keeping (like you would do with any password).
DLC QuickPlay is also a great resource for you to try out, too, and it has the bonus of scraping leaderboards to make guesses about which songs you own so can save you time in song entry. Use whatever works best for you! I launched the site a year ago, and did the usercode thing thinking I didn't want to mess with managing user logins; I didn't realize I would get so much flack for asking people to write down 6 characters (and not worry about their email being handed off to another website)! This site was a personal project intended to replace a personal spreadsheet which eventually grew into what it is now—read: it has Frankensteined out quite a bit since I started. A lot of my dev time last fall went into spinning up a dedicated API (you can check it out ) which itself is constantly getting updated. I have put a lot of time ( a lot) into data entry. Every week I add the challenges and new songs.
I have been slowly adding and cleaning up new data as I get it; for instance I got a data dump from pksage at the end of November with a lot more data than I originally had. It took a lot of time to modify the backend, import and clean up the data, fill in the holes (lots of stuff was missing from the import. And I have to go hunt down all that info manually), and then update the API (and API docs) to use the new data. Another huge time suck was looking up Xbox, PSN, Amazon, Spotify, Google Play, Groove, and iTunes links for all 2500+ songs in the database (something that couldn't be automated); I finished that not too long ago. And now I have to manually hunt down vocal percussion data (via YouTube videos) for all the songs (I'm about 28% done with that), which will also take a lot of my time. Reasonable doubt cd. I have been trying to add new/useful features here and there with the time I have. Like the Rivals score calculation and play counts or being able to 'log in' by putting your code in the URL, but since Decemberish I have been working on a complete ground-up rewrite of the front-end so I haven't wanted to put a whole lot of effort into the current site; there's a lot of dev time going into the new site that isn't really seen right now.
On top of that, I have been doing a lot of reading/studying on the best way to move forward with the API as I will be adding full accounts to the next site. And several other surprises that I can't talk about just yet. Having said all that, I still have a full time job and consulting work that has to get done. I have 2 toddlers that are homeschooled. I had a herniated disc at the beginning of the year which pretty much killed all development happening in January, February, and much of March, and I just had back surgery 2 weeks ago and am just now starting to get back to regular development on everything. There you go.
Edit: and honestly, the login thing is a bit on the low priority side compared to data entry and bug fixes. People complain about it, and it's not like I don't want to add it, but the site still functions without it.
Considering the time it would take to shoehorn the interface into the current site, and that I'm trying desperately to launch a new site anyway, I'm choosing to put that dev time into the new site. What I did will cost money but the convenience is nice considering the amount of time it takes to track all the songs I own. I created a Spotify playlist and manually added all of the Rock Band songs I own. There are some shortcuts that helped with time such as pre-made playlists of Rock Band 1, 2, and 3 already created by other users. After I have added all of my songs, I use a service called Stamp to transfer all of my songs from Spotify to a CSV file, Tidal, Apple Music, and Google Play Music.
So not only do I have access to a digital spreadsheet that I have backed up onto my Google Doc, but I also have the physical copy printed out along with music streaming services for my guests to preview the songs or browse through with their smartphone.

At 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, Smith's intriguing combination of speed and size led to him being drafted by the Saints in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Playing behind Ted Ginn Jr. To begin the season, the rookie receiver was quiet the first few games. But, after Ginn succumbed to a knee injury, Smith broke out on the national stage in Week 5, scoring twice on Monday Night Football as quarterback Drew Brees became the NFL's all-time leader in passing yards.
